Why aren't REDDI-RADIO on FM full time?

Anyone who wants to set up a radio station (commercial or community based) must prove to the UK regulators, Ofcom, that the area of broadcast can support its own full-time radio station in all aspects of the station from finances to local support of residents. One way of doing this is by carrying out a number of 'short trial broadcasts' (usually lasting for 28 days) to test the water. These short broadcasts are known as Restricted Service Licences (RSLs).

To help us make your community radio station permanent we need proof from the local community that it is something that the community wants. Please send us your letters of support today, as Redditch has been without this for way too long already and we are the people to make it happen.

So in both our short and long term goals, we aim to offer an informative, entertaining station for Redditch, involving Redditch, with a mix of local and national news and information plus great music from the last five decades right up to today.
